For many in the industry, HAMBURG OPEN is the first important get-together of the year. On 14 and 15 January 2026, BFE will once again be on site, demonstrating how complex broadcast and media technology can be controlled in a more structured, open and efficient way today.

The focus is on KSC Systems – including the KSC Open Control Interface for manufacturer-independent integration of control devices, KSC Horizon Order Management for managing broadcast services, as well as further solutions covering bouquet routing with KSC Core and infrastructure monitoring with KSC SinAlarm.

HAMBURG OPEN provides the ideal setting for this. The calm exhibition atmosphere leaves room for professional exchange, discussion of concrete use cases and conversations at eye level with planners, operators and technical decision-makers.

In addition to the exhibition presence, Hartmut Opfermann, CTO of BFE, will give a technical presentation at HAMBURG OPEN entitled “NMOS Security – Eyes Closed and Carry On?”. The presentation, presented by the FKTG – Fernseh- und Kinotechnische Gesellschaft, will take place on 14 January 2026 from 1:30 to 2:00 pm on the Vision Stage in Hall B6. It will address security aspects of NMOS in IP-based broadcast environments, existing security specifications, and the question of why many defined security concepts have so far only been insufficiently implemented in practice.
