By establishing a dedicated Consulting Profit Center, we are expanding our portfolio with a clearly structured advisory unit. The aim is to support customers in the broadcast, media technology and control room environments at an early stage of strategic and technological decision-making – from initial orientation through to implementation in live operations.

The new unit is headed by Christian Lenz. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the media industry, with a background in software development, project management and consulting. Most recently, he held a senior leadership position with overall area responsibility.

The demand for consulting has changed significantly. Technological market developments, economic pressure and strategic realignments are increasingly interlinked. Many questions today are no longer about which product to choose, but about how systems, processes and organisations can be set up in a sustainable and future-proof way.

Consulting at BFE is deliberately positioned between traditional strategy consulting and purely technology-driven consulting. The focus is on feasibility, operational reliability and economic viability. The new unit addresses topics such as artificial intelligence, cloud and hybrid architectures, IP and remote infrastructures, organisational and operating models, as well as security requirements.

Within BFE, Consulting takes on a connecting role between planning, system integration and operations. “With the new Profit Center, we are creating a clear structure to bring business goals, technology decisions and operational reality together at an early stage,” says CTO Hartmut Opfermann.
