The Frankfurt Fire, Civil Protection and Emergency Services Centre (BKRZ) receives safety-critical information on a daily basis. Within a short space of time, this information is used to form the basis for operational and command decisions. With the newly completed command room, the control centre now has a dedicated space to provide targeted support to command and crisis management teams in managing specific operational situations.

The command centre is part of the comprehensive refurbishment of the largest integrated control centre in Hesse. The aim was to create an environment in which information can be clearly consolidated, situational overviews presented clearly, and decision-making processes managed collaboratively.

The technical setup focuses on large-format visualisation solutions, a central media and system control system, and redundant display configurations in the event of a failure. The display walls can be operated intuitively and centrally. Mobile projection solutions are also available for flexible use.

The new infrastructure was seamlessly integrated into the existing control centre architecture and designed for long-term, reliable operation. Once the construction and integration phase was complete, on-site training was provided for staff.

With its new operations room, the Frankfurt am Main Central Control Centre is laying a vital foundation for structured situation management and coordinated decision-making. Particularly in situations where a clear overview and reliability are crucial, the room facilitates a collaborative and transparent way of working.
