The project includes the modernization of the media technology of a total of 39 rooms in the Biologicum and Otto-Stern-Zentrum at the Riedberg campus.

In coordination with ongoing teaching operations, high-performance HD-3LCD laser projectors and 43" to 98" full HD displays from Panasonic will be installed. Crestron DMPS3 presentation systems are used for signal selection and control. Crestron NVX extenders provide reliable distribution of video signals over the existing network infrastructure. Crestron-certified engineers from BFE handle programming of the networked system as well as the touchpanel-based user interfaces. Interactive smartboards from AG Neovo complete the visualization technology and ensure an appealing presentation of content with their 4K displays. Interactive presentations, group discussions and brainstorming sessions are ideally supported via Neovo's ScreenShare Pro app. It allows for easy sharing of webcams, screens and materials via 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Edited files and notes can be easily shared and exchanged after a session via QR code, email or cloud drives. At the core of the high-quality, Dante protocol-based audio-over-IP installation are Q-SYS Core audio processors and I/O components from QSC, as well as digitally controllable line array speaker systems from Renkus-Heinz and Pan Acoustics. BFE's experienced engineers and DSP programmers design individually shaped and aligned audio beams using the powerful DSPs. This results in a targeted sound reinforcement configuration tailored to each room, guaranteeing an optimal soundscape as well as high speech intelligibility throughout the audience area.

"Especially in such challenging times as today, we are very pleased to contribute to the digitalization of universities with our projects and to support students as well as lecturers with innovative system solutions," says Markus Greiter, Managing Director at BFE.
